According to a report of an inquest , in the South Wales Tar newspaper dated Friday 15 May 1891, Ann passed away on Friday 8th May 1891 - apparently from heart failure. Her husband reported that she had got up as usual at 5.15 a.m. and had then returned to bed. Their daughter was sleeping between them. Suddenly she made a strange noise and appeared to have died.
